Sundays may come and go quicker than we would like to see. You must have heard that saying, "there needs to be a day in between Saturday and Sunday. Like you, I love the feeling of a chill Sunday, but Sunday means the weekend is ending.
This is where we start feeling overwhelmed with trying to prepare to face the week. It's the mental game we play with ourselves. Below is a list of 7 Habits that may help you.
7 SUNDAY HABITS
Take your time Sunday morning when getting up; in; this blog, I will share with you some good habits starting from when you get up to when you go to bed—developing some good habits that will make your life easier.
When you first get up, give yourself time to lay and listen. You will be surprised what comes from this. Make breathe a point of laying there and doing nothing but feeling yourself breathe, the blankets around you and just being!
Yes, that's it, just being. It will be a time you can't get back. When you're ready, get up slowly and sit at the end or side of the bed, put your feet on the floor and place one hand on your heart and one on your stomach and breath in and out ten times, still just being in the state of and be fully present and aware of this time.
Take your time getting up, and then after about half-hour of the sheets peeled back to air, make your bed; making your bed will be the first accomplishment you achieved so far for this day; continue to do this for the week and then once that's done, make your favourite breakfast.

Having a clear vision and intentions set in place will ensure your goals and plans are met. So while you sit and have a glass of lemon water, tea or coffee, grab your favourite notepad or favourite writing book, and write down what comes to mind without prioritizing what you are writing down. Once you have finished the glass of water or drink of choice, you can rewrite down all the things on the list for the week in your planner and prioritize what you're writing.

Don't forget when you're writing in your planner, mainly list appointments, etc. Also, schedule some self-care activities. You must put down at least one thing.
MEAL PREP
Circular Sundays~ Make it a habit to check out what's on sale for the week. Lots of grocery stores have apps for flyers or the weekly newspaper. But first, finish reading the rest of this.
A good habit is to shop outside the grocery store and stick to the aisles with the green signage, mainly if you're in the big boxed stores. When you can shop locally and help your community grocery stores do that, I do that. Because not only will it make you feel better about supporting the locals, but you will find that you will only grab what you need and not shop and buy into temptations.
Meal Preparing on Sundays is a great habit to get into. It will save you time and feeling anxious during the work week after you come home from a long day.
You can't decide what to eat, so you grab whatever is in front of you, and it's probably junk.
Check out my blog and how the grocery stores trick you by how they design the grocery store.
WARDROBE READY

This seems like such a childish thing to do, but I can tell you it's not. Here are a few ways I love putting my outfits together on #Sundays or, as a matter a fact, every day of the week. First, it allows me to go through my #clothes and closet to declutter.
The main reason it's a good habit is because it saves time and gives me more time to either stay in bed a few more minutes to do the yoga in bed or do other things around the house that I usually wouldn't have time for.
Here are some pictures of ideas you can incorporate to help in the transition of having yourself prepared for a stress-free work week.
If you are wardrobe savvy and already doing this, Congrats.

SCHEDULE SELF-CARE
This is my favourite thing to do on Sundays. I focus on a few things, I didn't always do this, but once I started to create good habits, other habits began to form. So don't be hard on yourself if, at first, you only have one self-care activity.

PHYSICAL
Applying a face mask
Do your nails
Read in the sun
Go For A Walk
Hike (My Favorite)
Play With A Dog (Don't have one ask a neighbour)
Take A Cold Shower (:0)
Re-organize Your Room
Visit Your Favorite Coffee Shop (Another Favorite)
Resistance Training/Light workout (create your circuit)
Take A Nap, cozy up with your favourite fuzzy blanket (yes, it's an actual physical activity)
Fly A Kite or play an activity you did as a child.
MENTAL SELF-CARE
Read A Book or listen to podcasts (link to more of why and what i hear too)
Learn To Draw Something New or learn to play a musical instrument)
Find A DIY Activity On Pinterest ( I make mitts) LINK
Buy An Adult Coloring Book
Turn Off Your Phone for a few minutes (and be in the moment)
Read Inspiring Quotes and put them in places you can read them periodically
Listen To Calm Music LINK
Write Down Your Thoughts And Feelings( thought note pads or a thought book).
EMOTIONAL
Put Your Favorite Song On Repeat LINK
Put On Fresh, Comfy Clothes (thrift shopping) LINK you buy one, take one away.
Find A Quiet Place And Meditate (actually make a space) LINK

Binge on Your Favorite TV Show Or Movie (my fav movie?
Eat clean, live, healthy foods. LINK
My final message about how important self-care is, besides the fact that it will energize you for the week ahead, is that when you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot benefit from an "Empty Vessel." ~Eleanor Brown
BEDTIME
It's that time of the day to lay your head down; you have prepared all you need to do for Monday and most of the week. Seriously, putting all that aside, one last thing to work on, getting to bed early on Sunday can have many health benefits, boost your immune system and set your mind, skin and overall health for optimal performance. Good Night.
