Nine Ways To Love Fitness & Two Reasons To Love Fashion

Fitness

"Good things come to those who wait." Just remember this when you feel like it's taking too long.

By now, you have done and received a ton of workouts and meal plans from coaches and friends and probably even done your research online, which, Includes an array of every weight loss tip possible. You have learned and developed the best skills; constantly implementing the techniques and fitness tips adds to your already crazy day.

The health portfolio you designed seems to look good, but it still isn't enough, and it just does not seem to be working for you and won't unless you have developed the most crucial skills like self-discipline, making time, and having organizational skills. Typically these are not things we think about, but this is what will make or break you. Oh! And maybe now getting a coach.

It's up to you to put it all into motion and make it your reality. Transforming your body, changing its shape, and losing weight are never easy, but it's not impossible. No matter what stage in your life. I have done it four times at all locations and for all ages.
If I can ask you something? What area are you in? #1. Lose weight #2. Tone & Tighten or #3. Lose weight and tone & tighten. In these categories, there is a big difference between what you will have to do and what it takes to get where you want to be.
Quick story from my experience. When I was in my 20, 's It came easy. I could put on a cute fitness\exercise outfit, take a pic and look like I have been going to the gym for years. Once I hit 25-26, a little hormone change, pregnancy and, then, once I had my daughter, it's never been the same. I have had to do things differently in the future.

So what's a girl to do? Well, I am sure you have all done this. Yes, I admit, including me, that we would eat very little over a couple of days just to fit in a party dress for the weekend that is soon upon us. Unfortunately, as we get older, this all ends and one day, you try, and nothing happens. Squeezing into that dress is not the case for everyone, but for me, it was. Things changed, and it hasn't been the same or as easy ever since.
I have never had a big love for fitness or exercise; I have had to learn to love it. I didn't always eat clean and had to learn the right things to eat. For example, when I thought eating granola and yogurt with fruit was healthy. I realized no, it's not loaded with sugar and not a great way to start the day, especially if you are trying to lose weight. In my experience, consistency backed up with knowledge like reading and educating myself is key to making it happen. Instilling a different behaviour, like discipline, adding in a few workout buddies and a coach, I was on my way to creating a new version of myself.
I have listed some of the things below that helped me, and just so you know, from here on in, it doesn't stop. You can't go back. The body has smarts about it, and if you try, you will run into some health complications and maybe even more health complications that you didn't have before. So take into consideration what you are about to take on. You know, think of it like it's a health awakening. If you are still reading this and got this far, that already says a lot. Cheers.
Here are a few things I learned and ways of creating better habits that I have done over the years:
  1. Why. If it's just a "thought," that won't be enough to get you fired up. Figure out what inspired this change. The thought alone isn't enough.

  2. Remind Yourself. We will often forget after time why we are doing it. Remember your why, add a daily reminder to your calendar and use a favourite affirmation or motivation quote.

  3. Ready, Set, Goals. The decision is made and set attainable goals are. Dream big by all means, but you also don't want to set yourself up for failure, even though failing can do some amazing things for you as far as the journey goes. Just be careful with this; there is a failing, then there is a failing where you can't go back. Not only are smaller goals more attainable, but they're also better markers of progress.

  4. Tribe. Find your people but beware. As you grow, they will change; you may surpass them, and emotions start to rear their ugly heads. It's natural for humans to lose themselves sometimes and say and do things they don't mean. But it's your job to recognize this. It may come to a point when you must let go of those you started with and level up. Be strong and keep the goal in mind; don't let the head games get the best of you. If this happens, know that you are progressing and keep going, use it as a great measuring tool.

  5. Book It. Having something to look forward to will help. If that's what you have to do, girl, that's what you have to do. Maybe it's scheduling a big celebratory dinner or planning a beach trip where you must wear a swimsuit. Whatever it is, book it, make it concrete.

  6. Small Wins. Acknowledging! Cheer yourself on as you see results, no matter how small. Wins will be a huge one for you in the beginning and should start to get less and less as you master your goals. Tip it can't be food as the reward. We don't reward with food ever.

  7. Ditch the Digits. How you feel and how your clothes fit will be your focus. Use that as a measuring tool. From here on out, numbers mean nothing unless you weigh-in for a fight.

  8. Change is Good. Don't be afraid to tweak your plan along the way. Just because things aren't going as you hoped doesn't mean you should ditch your efforts altogether. Experiment with different workouts, foods, and portions and adjust as needed. No matter what, keep evolving and changing is essential, especially if you hit a plateau.

  9. Don't Stop. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it. Remember why you're doing this; go back and reread it from the beginning.

    Good Luck

Fashion

I wanted to include fashion because when you lose weight, start to feel good, and fit into fun clothes comfortably, the style will become even more fun. Going on a shopping spree will be a great experience in the future. Exciting right?

Two things will happen

#1. You won't care at first what you wear to workout in because you're not feeling that great about yourself, and that's fine. But there will come a day when that changes. One day you start looking for fun and fashionable fitness outfits with coordinating colours and matching sports bras and leggings.  You may even be observing or be inspired by another fitness guru and want to wear what they are wearing. Create a Pinterest page and put it on a secret board; I have many private boards.

#2. The second thing that will happen is that you will be shopping intentionally. The time will come and become more accessible. You will pick out clothes with a little flash and flair, and your fashion sense and style will start to show up because now, you are confident.

This is fab and exciting to look forward to. I know it's been a while, and it doesn't seem like this could be your reality, but I can promise you this! It will be. The best places to practice fashion shopping are thrift stores, second-hand stores, and the ones in your neighbourhood. You will spend too much money otherwise ;). You can also try winners who have brand-name fitness outfits for lower prices.

Lastly, your closet will be filled with 2 or 3 different sizes; when this happens, you know it's time to go through your clothes and start purging, giving away or donating. This will be the first test to yourself that you will continue to maintain this lifestyle.

Happy Shopping

My Story

My name is Katrina, and I am the founder of Love Life & Living Free. I started this blog because I love to write about things I have experienced in life and share them in the hopes that they may help or inspire someone else along the way. Since my weight loss journey of losing over 90 pounds, I would get asked how I did it and when it started. It all started years ago. Since then, I have attracted a few hundred like-minded souls by telling my stories. I have a passion for helping others in all facets of life, not just in weight loss but anything to do with life and anything to do with just being a woman of this century, like how i moved across the country. So I thought, why not create something people can go to in their free time whenever they feel like they need some personal direction, inspiration or tips.

I am excited to have a platform like this to express and write. After all, 45 years of being on this earth means I have been through a few things; we are all just having that, an experience and one i am happy to share with you.

It may help "YOU" get through some of your struggles wherever you happen to be in this moment, young or old.

This site is not a one-stop-shop, so you know! It's packed with many things, and maybe, just maybe, it will direct you to lead a more fulfilling and free life that you deserve.
