Two Ways To Live In & Love Your Home
Your home should be your sanctuary, the place at the end of the day you feel good going back to. If you don't, here are a few things to consider what I have done for myself and clients as well as what I learned through my small cleaning business.
First, you have to find your spot, and what I mean by this is the place you like to go to and un- winded once you get home and settled when it been a long day and you sit in your place it should feel like a cold beer on a hot day or a piece of chocolate cake, the first sip of your favourite glass of wine, the smell of your favourite scented candle or hand cream or maybe like for me a fuzzy blanket and heating pad, fluffy slippers and loose leaf tea wait for me when I get there.
Here are a few things you can do to make this happen.
#1. To Create A Space in your home that you will love.
Yes! you have to actually create this space, walk around feel it out and make it as cozy as you can and create something that your gonna actually like, find a comfy chair or the area and decorate it with uplifting decor, pictures, candles, plants, musical instruments, books etc and keep it clean. I love thrift shopping for decor when it comes to creating my space. I can give it a makeover and most importantly it's usually on a budget.
#2. To Create An Environment Yes one that makes living a healthy lifestyle easier. Especially if you are wanting to lose weight. I look at it like this, if your gonna be changing the housing and environment of your body. You have to change the housing and environment of where that body resides.
So this would mean yes to create a kitchen that you can move around in with easy access to the foods that you will be using to create your meals. One of the things I have created for my clients first is an oatmeal station, Breakfast first, please.
Then we work on going through all the cupboards and getting rid of things and re-designing the space. You will be surprised at how all of a sudden you find yourself loving to spend time in the kitchen and start to actually create foods you love. There is something to be felt in your heart and said about when your put love, healthy energy and your vibe that goes into all the food that you will make.
It's a true fact that if the space around you is a disaster it affects how you feel and what you do when you come home. Everything seems to spiral out of control. If you have had a bad day at work and you come home to a messy house the bad day doesn't end there it makes you feel more frustrated and causes more anxiety. For example, If you had a bad day at work or where ever you were and you know you will be coming home to a clean house doesn't that ready make you feel better, like really at least that part of your day and life is going good. I own a cleaning business and do this for my clients weekly, I hear them tell me all the time how nice it is to come home knowing I was there that day. To add to that now say your car is a mess too. Hahaha, you get where I'm going with this and what I mean.
Here is something that you may not know, about your car and home. That whatever shape it is in is a reflection of what's going on in your life. Crazy scary to think about it that way right. Well, it's true. It also means you are not making time for the things that really matter and are key to having and creating a more peaceful life. A life so that you can live and love free.
If this seems overwhelming at first for you then get someone in your home whos experienced in this, helping declutter or organize for a few hours a week like 2 hours for $50 or $60 dollars whatever the going rate is in your area. Taking action and making it happen will help to start something for you in a huge way. If you can afford to have someone weekly then stick with that plan so you can focus on other things more important to you, cleaning is not for everyone but living and loving your life is.
So now that I have your wheels turning, intentionally make some changes over the next few days in your home get on the computer and search for cleaners or start with your vehicle at first take it into a place that will clean it for you if you don't have time at this moment. The idea though is to eventually have it so it's you creating that time to clean it out yourself. There are lots of places that do it for cheap or pay a kid to do it and sit back and see how that feels. Let me know in the comments below I would love to hear from you.
